Welcome to the Shiranui Special! With Mai Shiranui! I've been behind the scenes watching the 2013 Hydra Tournament. Sure, it's nothing like the King of Fighters Tournament; but I've seen tons of spectacular fighters that made even me, the Number One in Japan, excited for this competition!
 Mai Note: It's sad I couldn't join.. I should've paid more attention.
As I am Mai Shiranui, the greatest kunoichi of all time (and the lover of all things Andy), I am qualified to tell it as it is for Week 2 of this competition!
The Top Three of Week Two
The 5-0 Domination
So many this week! Fighters are stepping up their game to get those points! Even if Swords was the preferred sport of Week 2, we saw many Shut Outs in Fists and Magic as well.
The Shut Out Award goes to... Claire Farron! 5-0'ing Aja Bird, UltraV, and Ray Bradford!
 Mai Note: I wonder if I should be jealous?
The "Better Luck Next Week" Award goes to.. Khoom! After getting shut out three times in Week 2 of Hydra.. maybe his luck will take a turn for the better in Week 3?
 Mai Note: Visit a shrine and buy a good luck token! Tell them Mai sent you!
Challenge for Battlefield Park -- Matthew Simon .vs. Nayun
Things may have looked grim for Matt when Nayun caught his thrust to bring the match to sudden death.. but Old and Busted beat out New Hotness this time around! Playing the odds, the Old Guy caught Nayun's high swing to end the match in his favor! I should note this is his fifth defense! This fight was Non-Hydra, but this kunoichi wonders if Mr. Matt will waive his grace period for more points? Team Hydra sure needs them!
 Mai Note: Get a new shtick, girl! No one is as Ninja as Mai Shiranui!
Challenge for New Haven -- Jake .vs. Joku The battle of the J's! First time Baron Joku vs First time Barony Challenger Jake! Jake "The Man" Thrash dominated both fights early on and and got himself a shiny ring, new digs, and some Hydra points for his team! For a first time challenger, Jake sure handled his business like a pro!
I have a mocca latte waiting for me! Here's hoping week three turns out as fun-filled as week two!
