Strike One: Five participants in Hydra Season 2 have negative WoL in at least one sport. Three of them are on this team.
Strike Two: Pink as a primary team color. Don't get me wrong - pink can work when you've got the moxy and skill to own it (i.e. Team SHE from the Iron Fists League). This bunch? Not so much.
Strike Three: A self-proclaimed pacifist known more for his erotic wanderings than dueling is the team's best hope for points.
Colin's Final Box Score: Those points will be few and far between meaning this team'll take over for Forces of Nature and dwell in the standings' basement.
Claire Farron (DoF: 0 WoL; DoM: 18 WoL; DoS: -2 WoL) -- Claire's fairly new to the dueling rings and in a few short months, she's boosted herself up to Mage. Unfortunately, she hasn't done much anywhere else and she missed challenging for a Tower in the opening seconds of Season 2. She's brought two dueling veterans onto the team along with two relative rookies. Does Hydra give bonus points for effort? Claire better hope so because she'll need as many as she can get.
Khoom Helston (DoF: 9 WoL; DoM: 30 WoL; DoS: 5 WoL) -- It's laughable that Big Blue's the best dueler on the team. When he's not refusing to duel Matt Simon (apparently Candy Hart has disallowed him from getting too close to Captain Futility) he's trying to play touchy-feely with those furry blue hands. This guy's crackers. Someone make sure he doesn't get too close to Jesse!
Big Blue might get his team a tower on the Isle. He might even promote to Sapphire in the Outback. How underwhelming. Unfortunately, underwhelming's the best thing Team Dirty has going.
Zack Alcar (DoF: 3 WoL; DoM: 0 WoL; DoS: -1 WoL WoL) -- Talk about trying too hard. This guy carries three swords (hint: you only have two hands, mate) and boasts what must be some clannish or cultish tattoo on his neck. Whatever he's compensating for, it's not helping him in the dueling rings. Despite those three swords, he's got negative WoL in the Arena and his 3-round MPDPD record in the Champions' Arena Invitational Tournament was an astonishing -8, -8.5 and -3.33.
Colin's Big Career Advice For Zack: Pick one sword and practice with it. Once you can duel your way out of a wet paper sack, you might be on your way to actually helping your team.
Jedi (DoF: 2 WoL; DoM: -1 WoL; DoS: 3 WoL) -- Jedi's the second most experienced dueler on the roster and yet he only has 2 career WoL more than Zack. Youch. That's gotta sting the old Jedi pride a bit. Don't they force you over to the Dark Side for poor showings like that?
You'd think a guy who whips two lightsabers around would have more than 3 Swords WoL. But you'd be wrong. Maybe he and Zack can go to One-Weapon-At-A-Time-School together. It might do them both a world of good. Certainly can't hurt this team.
Morgan Chae (DoF: 1 WoL; DoM: 0 WoL; DoS: 0 WoL) -- Mr. Chae beat up on Captain Futility this past week for his lone career WoL. I smiled when I found that out. Beyond that, Team Dirty's got another rookie who probably won't compete for a title and who's in over his head entering a tournament like this so early in a career. Some people thrive in the fire and some turn to ash. We'll know which of the two this guy does in 6 short weeks or sooner.
