Corpse of Jenia Destroyed in Arena

On the evening of 14 October, the corpse of Jenia Aedroud, which had been making repeated appearances in the Arena, was finally and utterly destroyed. A cadre of duelists, including former Overlords Amaltea thu-Darelir and Xenograg kathu-Darelir were on hand when the deceased baroness appeared in the ring she has been seen haunting in recent months. With the aid of Karen Wilder and Aelric Shadowmane, Jenia was overwhelmed and cut to pieces within the ring.

The Baroness, slain in grisly manner back in May, in a ring within the Arena, had begun appearing in recent weeks, challenging others to fight for unknown reasons. Sources have speculated that machinations put into motion by Shakira before her destruction may have been the cause.
Several battles have taken place within the Arena in recent weeks that have involved the corpse of Jenia, as well as the entities that have been referred to as "wraiths". Some have indicated they believe the attacks have been intended for the purpose of allowing the wraiths to infect additional hosts.
Many thought the wraith threat had been eliminated with the death of Shakira, but the repeated instances of wraith activity within the Arena have suggested that some of Shakira's schemes have not been stopped.
It remains to be seen whether the defeat of Jenia will eliminate the presence of wraiths within the Arena.
