Grayson MacLeod challenged Gork in an effort to win back IceDancer from Gork who won it from him in August. This was Grayson's second attempt to win back the Opal.

Fought in the "best of three" format, the challenger won the first duel 5-3 in 10 rounds. The defender came back in the second duel and won 5-3 in 10 to tie the challenge at 1-1. The results of the final duel were less dramatic as Gork was able to take immediate control of the duel and win 5-1 in 6 rounds. Gork defends his title for the second time against Grayson.
