Grayson MacLeod challenged and fought Tareth Thorn for the Green Opal, aka PathFinder. It was a toss up in the first duel as both duelists hammered away at each other, but in the end Grayson took the first duel 5-4 in 11 rounds.

Tareth lost the lead in duel 2, but was able to recover and turn the duel around to win 5-3 in 9. Duel 3 started off in similar manner, but after gaining his rhythm, Tareth won a solid 5-2 in 9 to retain his hold on Pathfinder.
