Fought in a best-of-three format, the Overlord won the first duel handily, 5-0.5 in a quick 6 rounds. However, the duel was not a precursor to the end result, as the challenger was able to eke out a 5-4 in 9 rounds in the second duel after reaching sudden death in round 8. The final duel was also resulted in sudden death, and again resulted in the challenger winning, and again with a final score of 5-4 in 9.
