Baron Cassisu Maximius set out an open challenge to the patrons of the Arena to come fight him. At stake was his Baronial ring. If anyone could defeat him, the baron pledged to resign his ring leaving it available for the next Warlord Tourney. He also pledged to put up 10,000 gold crowns as a prize for defeating him. His request was that those wishing to take part put up 1,000 gold crowns of their own to add to the prize's value.

A number of duelers offered to face the baron, and a queue was set to begin at 8pm EDT.

The baron lost in the first match against challenger Saryna, and as per his word, resigned the title. Per Saryna's request, the ex-baron will donate the prize (11,000 gold crowns) to the Arena.

Cassius has stated his intent to enter the upcoming tournament, perhaps with the intent to reclaim the Barony.
