Aya Hayashibara challenged fought Nova Grey Shadow for the right to wear the 8th Baron's ring. The match was fought in the "best of three" format. Aya scored firstblood in the opening duel, and pressed her opponent continuously until she gained a 5.5-2 victory in the 7th round. Aya also scored firstblood in the second duel but was not able to dominate the duel as she did the first. However, she was still able to seize the win, 5.5-4.5 in the 15th round, to claim the 8th Baron's ring.

Upon accepting the token of the Barony, she declared herself Renegade to the Overlord.
