In a challenge that was announced, but the date of which was never settled until shortly before it happened, Stick faced off with Anubis Karos for the right to bear the Red Opal, aka FireStar.

Although the defender was able to get a good lead in the first match, Stick was able to come back and take the first duel with a score of 5-4 (number of rounds not available).

In the second match, Stick took the lead right away and kept it for the duration, finally winning 5-2 (again, number of rounds not available).

Winner in two straight duels, Stick won FireStar away from Anubis.
