Cletus Ganderfald gave challenge to Aya Hayashibara for the 8th Baron's ring. The defender elected to answer the challenge in the "best of three" format.

Aya opened strongly, winning the first match 5-2 in 10 rounds. Cletus came back more strongly, winning the 2nd duel 5-2 in 7 rounds. Cletus took an early lead in the 3rd and final duel, having at round 6 at 4-1 lead, whereupon Aya came back to score two points, making it 4-3. In the 9th round, both duelers scored, making the final score 5-4, and Cletus the new holder of the 8th Baron's ring.
