Ramsus Tidewater challenged the holder of the sixth Baron's ring, but the holder of the sixth, Xeric Mues, was nowhere to be found and the challenge was turned over to the Baron's Council for resolution.

The council elected to strip Xeric Mues of his title, and then appointed Nova Grey Shadow, Baron of the eighth ring, to defend the sixth ring against challenger Tidewater.

If the proxy (Nova) had been able to defend the ring, the title would have been held as a prize in the next Warlord Tournament.

In a single duel, won 5.5-4.5 in 13, the challenger was able to best the Council-appointed champion to claim the sixth Baron's ring. The new Baron promptly announced his alignment to the Overlord as Renegade.
